Sekhmet – Personal Power & Courage

Sekhmet is the lioness goddess of Ancient Egypt. She stands for courage, strength, and inner power. She is the daughter of the sun god Ra. Her name means “The Powerful One.” She is often shown as a woman with the head of a lioness and a sun disk.

Long ago, Ra sent Sekhmet to punish humanity. Her anger became so great that she almost destroyed the world. Then the gods gave her red beer that looked like blood. She drank it, became calm, and her anger disappeared. After that, she became Hathor, the goddess of love and joy.

This story shows that real strength is more than power. It is also about knowing when to stop, forgive, and heal.
